A safe haven for hundreds of cats, dogs, horses, donkeys, sheep, cattle and rabbits. Bleakholt is managed by a keen voluntary committee and became a registered charity in 1969. The main priority being the welfare of the animals in its care. Animals not deemed suitable for rehoming can remain at Bleakholt for life and will be available for sponsorhip. Some 200 or so volunteers help with the day to day running of the sanctuary and if you are interested in volunteering collect an application form from the sanctuary or enquire online.
