Useful Links
You can renew your library items online, in person or by phone.
Online: Login to Your Account with your library card number (14 digits) and your PIN (4 digits). You can also use this option by logging onto a People's Network computer in any library.

In person: visit one of our libraries and use the self-service kiosk, or ask a member of staff

It is possible to renew items up to 10 times using this service. Please note that some items may not be renewed, and that some audio-visual items may be subject to loan charges on renewal. Any item that has been requested by another customer may not be renewed but can be reserved free of charge. Also, please note that overdue items may be subject to charges.
Request your PIN/Forgotten PIN
Online. Complete the Forgotten PIN form and your PIN will be re-set and emailed back to you as soon as possible.
In person at any library. You will be asked to give satisfactory confirmation of personal details against the information we hold or by providing proof of identification such as driving licence, passport. Your PIN will be immediately issued to you. If you cannot provide this confirmation your PIN will be posted to you to the address held on file.
By phone 08450530005 Quote your library card number. You will be asked to give satisfactory confirmation of personal details against the information we hold before we can reset your PIN. If you cannot provide this confirmation your PIN will be posted to you to the address held on file.
We will soon be introducing a self-service "forgotten PIN" option which will use the email on your library account as validation.
You can complete our Keep in Touch form if you wish to update your library account details.
Account management
If you register for Library Elf you can also get updates about your account by email. These include early notification of due date, immediate notification when an item becomes overdue, reservation notification and the option to monitor multiple accounts. Lancashire County Council makes no guarantee about the nature, efficiency or availability of this service.
