Our Speed Awareness course is delivered as an alternative to prosecution if you have been caught over the speed limit.
You can only attend the course by referral from Lancashire Constabulary, or other UK Police force.
The course is delivered by specially trained Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) and is administered by the Road Safety Group. It is made up of a classroom based discussion lasting 4.5 hours in total. There are no tests; all we ask is that you are enthusiastic and willing to answer questions when asked.
In the discussion, you will discover reasons why drivers exceed speed limits and will be encouraged to assess your own driving.
The course is intended for people who have exceeded the speed limit. The course has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and if you complete the Speed Awareness Course you will not receive points on your licence or a police fine.
We have had lots of positive feedback about the course with many clients finding that it has helped to refresh their driving skills.
You can book and pay for a speed awareness course online.
Please note that you will need to register with Lancashire County Online to procede with your booking.
