The Transport Information service markets and promotes sustainable transport services to the people of Lancashire through the provision of appropriate information and awareness raising activities. We help to promote and market the use of alternative modes including bus, train, car sharing, walking and cycling and develop Travelwise initiatives. We provide and manage the real time bus information system, Traveline in Lancashire, and provide, with partners, the national SMS and mobile internet service and the regional online journey planner. We provide bus timetable information for all bus services in Lancashire and manage the provision of information at bus stops and maintain bus stop infrastructure.
