Top tourism writer Roger St Pierre has been visiting Lancashire to find out for himself what the county has to offer visitors.
Taking in the best of the Ribble Valley and Lancaster, his whistle stop tour has given him plenty of material for features on the red rose county in tourism and holiday publications.
The Chairman of Lancashire County Developments, County Councillor Niki Penney, caught up with Roger at Lancaster Castle. She said:
"Tourism plays a key role in the Lancashire economy and encouraging visitors to come here is vital.
"I am sure Roger will help spread the word about what we have to offer, from traditional villages and attractions like the famous Lancaster and Clitheroe Castles to new additions such as the Platform Gallery in Clitheroe and Lancaster's Millennium Park Trail. There is always something to do or see in Lancashire whether visitors are coming for the day or plan a longer stay.
"The County Council is keen to support Lancashire's tourism industry, helping it flourish and grow, creating jobs and boosting local economies."
