News: Be An Evacuee For The Morning

Wednesday, 10th March 2004
(PR 1163)

Budding actors in the Fleetwood area have the opportunity to practice their skills at a special emergency planning exercise in Fleetwood on Saturday 20th March from 9.30 am until approximately 12.00 noon.

Up to 40 volunteers are needed to turn up at a rest centre opened by the County Council's Emergency Planning team and Social Services following a supposed incident at the ICI Thornton Plant.

Anyone with a couple of hours to spare who wants to take part can turn up on the day at Milton Street Youth & Community Centre from 9.30am where you will be given a role to play and transported to the Rest Centre.

The WRVS will be on hand to provide refreshments during the morning.

For more information and to volunteer your services contact Marilyn Hahn or Bernard Kershaw at Lancashire County Council's Emergency Planning Headquarters on 01772 729397 (office hours).
