News: Last Chance For Students
Tuesday, 16th March 2004
If you are a full- or part-time student, there are still a few tickets available for the special Saturday matinee performance on 27th March at 2 pm.
Don't miss this unique opportunity to be a part of live theatre in this unusual location. Still a working court and prison, the medieval castle provides a fabulous backdrop to All's Well That Ends Well, a hard-edged love story that centres on Helena's unrequited love for Bertram, the arrogant son of the widowed Countess of Rousillon. Despite Bertram's rejection of her, Helena is prepared to go to all lengths to secure his love.... lengths that might make even the most liberated of 21st Century women blush.... or cheer!
The Demi-Paradise company of professional actors and musicians has gained such a reputation for its work in Lancaster Castle, that tickets for the evening performances sold out within four days of going on sale!
Tickets for the matinees, price £10, can be obtained on production of your student ID at the Booking Office in Shire Hall, Lancaster Castle, telephone 01524 64998. But hurry!
This production is sponsored by the Duchy of Lancaster, Graphic Design, Askam Construction Ltd, J Parkinson & Sons (Contracting) Ltd, the Peter Scott Gallery, and ASDA Lancaster.
