News: Extra Time 2 Do Stuff
Tuesday, 30th March 2004
YOUNG people from across Lancashire are being given extra time to get online and tell the decision makers what they think of the facilities in their area.
The 'Stuff2Do' project is an internet based survey that allows young people the chance to say exactly what they think of the things available for them to do - regardless of who provides the service.
Lancashire County Council's External Overview and Scrutiny Committee will be presented with the findings and be challenged to consider how services for young people could be spiced up.
County Councillor Wendy Dwyer said:
"This is a great opportunity for young people to have a say in the services and facilities provided for them. This is not just about youth clubs and other council services - we also want to hear their views on leisure and recreation services.
"We have extended the time limit on the project as we thought young people would have more time to take part in the Easter holidays."
The closing date for submitting your views is 7th May.
Anyone without internet access, particularly groups who provide stuff for young people 2do, who would like a paper version of the survey should contact Sulafa Halstead on 01772 532203.
