News: Maths Challenge 2004 - The Final

Nine teams of young people from schools across the County will compete in this year's Lancashire Maths Challenge Final at the Woodlands Centre Chorley, on Wednesday 23rd June at 7:30 pm.
The competition, sponsored by Lancashire County Developments Ltd, (LCDL), included all 88 secondary schools in Lancashire, with the nine finalists winning their district heats.
The teams were well supported by parents, teachers and other spectators. This year's competition has been based on an Olympic theme and the finals will also be set around this. Local County Councillors have supported the events.
The finalists are:

Lathom High School, West Lancs
Edge End High School, Nelson
Balshaw's CE High School, Leyland
Clitheroe Royal Grammar School
Lancaster Girls' Grammar School
St Michael's CE High School, Chorley
Whitworth Community High School
County Councillor Niki Penney, Chairman of LCDL, said:
