Welcome to Hothersall Lodge Outdoor Education Centre

Hothersall Lodge is situated in a secluded and picturesque corner of the beautiful Ribble Valley. It occupies a secure 7 acre south facing site, which has its own canoe lake and gives a sheltered, sunny aspect to this lovely location. Residential stays are possible with 80 beds and a campsite available.

Hothersall has a wealth of specialist experience. Many of the centre staff have worked as teachers in mainstream education and are highly qualified outdoor instructors with N.G.B.s in specialist outdoor and adventurous activities.

Hothersall offers superb facilities for all to enjoy. As well as Geography and Biology Fieldwork Courses, the centre also provides Adventurous Activities, Team Building and Management Training.

The Centre is particularly suited to providing inclusive adventurous activities for additional needs visitors.

 The WALL at HothersALL.

A fantastic newly built, fully inclusive, indoor climbing wall (including cave system) is now available and proving very popular with Hothersall Lodge staffed groups, family's and self-tutored groups.  The wall has 12 lines in total with 4 x 9 metre leading/ top-roping lines and a futher 8 x 7.5 metre top-roping lines plus 45 degree abseil ramp suitable for wheelchair users and vertical freehanging abseils (not to mention the 150metre zip-line!). Options also include beginners courses, skills development and use by external instructors for their own courses/ groups. Any group booking the facility will have exclusive use and potential users are welcome to contact us for further details.
