Business & Sustainability Training for 30 Hours Funded Childcare Providers

Lancashire County Council are pleased to share the following training and development opportunities to the Early Years Sector.  These workshops have been made available following a successful application to secure some of the Delivery Support Funding (DSF) from the Department for Education.
The DSF funding was secured to help ensure that there are sufficient places across Lancashire with particular focus on the extended entitlement in the Summer term.  Please see the provider specific training brochures below for details of the free training sessions available and how to book your place:

Intensive Business Support Programme

Part of the Delivery Support Funding (DSF) allocation awarded by the Department for Education has been used to provide an intensive business support programme for childcare providers who are worried about the long term sustainability of their business, or for providers that feel they would benefit from this support to help develop their business sustainably to accommodate the growth of 30 hours funded childcare.
This is a 4 week training programme, delivered by Red  Kite Innovations for Nursery and Pre-School settings who are judged to be 'Good' or better at their last Ofsted inspection.  The weekly sessions will take place in County Hall, Preston on the following dates:
  • Week 1 - Tuesday 5th June
  • Week 2 - Tuesday 12th June
  • Week 3 - Tuesday 19th June
  • Week 4 - Tuesday 26th June
Please note successful applicants will be required to commit to attending all 4 sessions.

Due to the limited number of places available a shortlisting process will be required to help allocate places fairly.  To access this training you are required to submit a completed Application Form for Intensive Business Support and any supporting information by Tuesday 6th May (09:00am) to

Successful applicants will be informed by email on Tuesday 22nd May to allow you sufficient time to plan cover arrangements.
