Christine, Deputy Manager
As Deputy Manager my main priorities are to work with the Children's Centre team to ensure that high quality services are provided for our families. Working in partnership with a range of agencies and in particular health colleagues allows us to offer a wide range of support with:
- Early Years childcare and education for all children from 0-5
- Family support and outreach
- Child and family health services
- Links with schools and Children’s Information Services (CIS)
- Adult education and volunteering opportunities
I have worked in children's centre's in Preston for over 12 years. I am passionate about my work and feel very privilege to be part of such a dedicated team who all support the work of the centre's to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
Joanne, Extended Services Manager
I am Joanne Kayley, one of the Extended Services Managers, working across our centres. I am responsible for line managing and supporting the Outreach Support team. I ensure, working with our Teacher, that we have quality early years learning opportunities and experiences within our services, which aid all children's learning and development.
Wenda, Extended Services Manager
I'm the Extended Services Manager for Ribbleton, Sunshine, Preston East, Cherry Tree and Willows Park Wellbeing, Prevention and Early Help Service (was Children's Centre's). I'm responsible for managing and supporting the Outreach Workers as well as supporting other Managers in the daily running of the Centre's. I manage the day to day running of the projects we are piloting and I also work with all partnership agencies to ensure we offer the best possible services for our children and families.
Lisa, Business & Finance Officer
I'm responsible for managing the administrative team across Sunshine and Ribbleton Children's Centres. I'm also responsible for monitoring the finances at Ribbleton Children's Centre and for implementing administrative systems across the Centres to ensure they run smoothly. It is also my job to ensure all Health & Safety requirements are in place across the Centres.
Jackie, Finance Officer
I am responsible for finances at Sunshine Children's Centre and assist with administrative work at both Sunshine and Preston East Children's Centres.
Beverley & Susan, Business Support Officers
We are job sharers and part of the reception/administrative team at Ribbleton Children's Centre. Our role involves welcoming families and professionals to the Children's Centre and supporting staff by carrying out all administrative work.
Michelle, Business Support Officer
I am the Business Support Officer and Receptionist at Sunshine Children's Centre. As 'front of house' receptionist, I am the first point of contact for all our service users dealing directly with them face to face. I also help deal with general enquiries over the telephone. My role involves providing administration support across our various teams including occasional reception cover at Ribbleton Children's Centre.
Mary, Outreach Worker
I am a member of the outreach team for Sunshine and Ribbleton Children's Centre's, offering support to families in the centres and their homes. I advise parents about our services, and can offer support around routines & boundaries, child development, home safety, finance and housing when appropriate sign post them to other agencies who are best equipped to meet their needs. I am parenting champion for both centres.

I'm an Outreach Support Worker based at Sunshine Children's Centre. As well as this, I also run two 'Pick & Mix' groups. I enjoy working with the families and children who are involved with the Children's Centres.
Mel, Outreach Worker
I am an Outreach Worker and I work across both Ribbleton and Sunshine Children's Centre. I offer support to families in their homes and at our Centres and sign post to other agencies.
I offer support around routines and boundaries, child development, home safety, safe sleeping, finance and housing. I also co-facilitate parenting and antenatal courses alongside other Outreach Workers.
Anih, Outreach Support Worker
I am an Outreach Support Worker for both Ribbleton and Sunshine Children's Centres. I run Messy Play on Tuesday mornings at Ribbleton and Active Tots on Wednesday mornings at Grange Primary School. I also visit families in the community for registration, early notification and red book visits. I offer help and advice in respect of home safety, as well as promoting what the Children's Centre has to offer to families.
Hamida, Outreach Support Worker
I am an Outreach Support Worker and I work across, both Ribbleton and Sunshine Children's Centre's. I also, am the Centre's Speech and Language Champion and I support families that may be concerned with their children's development, alongside other Family support aspects of routines and boundaries, housing, finances etc. I provide Outreach Support to families during new baby/registration visits supporting with infant feeding, weaning and safety in the home. I enjoy running "Simon Says…….." which is Speech and Language group and Adventure Story and Rhyme session at Our New Hall Lane Drop-In Centre. I will also be facilitating a family craft group in the new term.
Dawn, Outreach Support Worker
I work as an Outreach Support Worker across Ribbleton and Sunshine children's centres. I run the Muddy Hands group at Sunshine on Mondays and the Messy Play group at Sunshine Children's Centre on Wednesday afternoons. I also visit new families for registration visits and offer help and advice on home safety.
Helen, Outreach Worker
I am an Outreach Worker for Sunshine and Ribbleton Children's Centre's. My role is to support families either in the centre or their homes. I can advise parents about our services and sign post them to other agencies who are best equipped to meet their needs. I can offer support around routines & boundaries, child development, home safety, finance and housing. I also facilitate a Positive Parenting course for parents who are struggling with behaviour issues with their children aged 2-8 years and an antenatal class Bump Birth and Beyond for mum's to be and their partners.
Elaine, Outreach Support Worker
I am an Outreach Support Worker and I work across both Ribbleton and Sunshine children's centres. I am also the centres Stop Smoking Champion offering support to those who request it. I run several groups at the children's centre and also at other venues, such as Jumping Jacks at West View Leisure Centre, Baby Play, Baby Clinic, Babbling Babies and Baby Massage at the children's centre. I also support families in their homes with behaviour boundaries and routines, speech and Language support, new baby visits, signposting to other services and registration visits.
Donna, Outreach Support Worker
I am an Outreach Support Worker at Sunshine and Ribbleton. I run and help with the following groups: messy play at Sunshine and Ribbleton and Jumping Jacks at Westview. I visit families in their homes when a new baby arrives. Also If you are needing support in the home around speech and language or parenting support this is my role too.
I am the Counsellor at the Centre and the approach I practice is "person centred." In a safe and confidential environment. The client is supported to explore their feelings and emotions and work towards a more stable and fulfilling way of life. Referrals are accepted for all those registered with the Centre and we aim to not have clients wait any longer than 3 months. Sessions are for an hour each week on an unlimited time basis. I also offer and support students in the final stages of counselling training and hold a qualification in fieldwork supervision.
Jackie W, Volunteer Co-ordinator
I am the Volunteer Co-ordinator and work across the centres Ribbleton and Sunshine. I recruit volunteers to help out in the groups we run during term time and for holiday activities. There are a variety of roles volunteers can get involved with such as in groups, nursery, reception, baby visits. I believe volunteering is a great opportunity to get work experience, make new friends, develop new skills and support the local community. Feedback from our current volunteers say Preston children's centres are a great place to volunteer as they have a friendly, supportive and encouraging team who value our volunteers.

I am an Outreach Worker for both Ribbleton and Sunshine Children's Centre's, providing support to families where needed and working in tandem with other agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes for our families. We offer support around routines & boundaries, child development, home safety, finance and housing. I can advise parents about our services and sign post them to other agencies who are best equipped to meet their needs. In addition I am currently the Fathers Involvement champion and help to run, and organise, the Dads Zone Group every month at Preston East Children's Centre.

Carly, Outreach Worker
My name is Carly and I have been an outreach worker at Ribbleton and Sunshine Childrens Centre for 3 years. My role includes working with families in the home offering support where needed. I also deliver courses such as, Bump, Birth and Beyond, Positive Parenting and Baby Massage. My champion roles include working alongside the staff on the neo natal unit and delivering forest schools in the primary schools in the local area.
