The County Council is committed to promoting Democratic engagement and public involvement in the local decision making process. Opening our doors to the public of Lancashire is one of our highest priorities. To do this we are taking forward a number of initiatives one of the more innovative of which is "Webcasting" Council meetings - that means broadcasting them live and as recordings on the Internet.

Webcasting gives us the potential to reach a large number of people both across Lancashire and worldwide. It allows the public to watch the Council make decisions that affect them from their homes, libraries or anywhere else that they have access to the internet either live or at a time that suits them, without the need to travel to County Hall.

To view the webcasts you will need to have RealPlayer software installed on your PC before being able to view meetings live or from the archive.
