Lancashire Adult Learning is seeking to recruit casual, hourly paid tutors to work at a range of venues across Lancashire teaching the following courses:
Visual & Performing Arts & Media - Jewellery (bead making), Arts & Crafts courses
Languages - Greek courses in the East Lancashire area
Teacher Training and CPD - PTTLS, DTLLS, IQA Awards, Assessor Awards, Coaching and Mentoring courses.
Pre-entry - delivering courses to learners with PMLD and develop independence and communication through Cooking, Exercise, Dance and Arts & Crafts.
Degree or equivalent
Full teaching qualification at level 4 or 5 or willingness to work towards
Subject qualifications to relevant level
Mandatory qualifications for teaching the subject specialism
Literacy and numeracy qualifications at level 2 or above or willingness to achieve these.
Assessor / Verifier awards.
Experience of teaching adults within the lifelong learning sector
Evidence of successful teaching and learning practice
Ability to design high quality learning experiences, including planning, preparing learning resources, monitoring progress and achievement
Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
Excellent inter-personal skills.
Experience of teaching a wide range of learner groups in a variety of settings
Knowledge of issues in post 16 education and training in relation to lifelong learning
Excellent ICT skills.
