Rachel Kay-Shuttleworth had a fascinating and full life involved in everything from the Girl Guide movement, health and welfare to arts and her textile collection. This exhibition looks at aspects of her life will showcase some of the items from Rachel's prestigious textiles collection, as well as highlighting some lesser-known aspects of her life, including photographs and personal objects that have rarely been on public display before. The exhibition will also show what it would have been like growing up at the 'Downton of the North', and feature Rachel's many social and charitable activities.

This exhibition is free, but normal admission charges to Gawthorpe Hall applies - £4 adults, £3 concessions, accompanied children free, National Trust members free
